Millions of people around the world suffer from Chronic Sinus infections. RhinoCare has developed a unique and innovative solution for the treatment of sinus infection using heat. Clinical trials show that the RhinoCare solution is highly effective. Tens of thousands of the RhinoCare devices have been sold and are being used in Clinics. Due to the device success in market place, RhinoCare decided to develop a unique nose interface to be utilized in the home devices.

DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
The development process was initiated by defining the basic requirements to be researched. Significant emphasis was given to the usability and user experience, as we evaluated several intuitive and simple methods for water re-filling. With the assistance of many prototyped models we have developed a system that requires minimal user interaction. A unique ergonomic cover that allows for water re-filling by the user with no concern of wetting the device itself.

DESIGN PROCESS
As part of the Industrial design process we researched and evaluated non-medical product characteristics in order to impart esthetic traits from the world of home use consumer products. The cradle was designed to enable the user to simply and safely place the nose interface while the device is idling.

ENGINEERING
In the engineering process included strict adherence to medical device regulations. One of the important considerations in the planning process was for low cost and simple assembly manufacturability.

THE FINAL PRODUCT
A system that is esthetically pleasing with an innovative appearance. The system utilized tap water to provide hot water vaper stream at a specified pressure and flow rate providing treatment for sinus infections.
