PORTABLE CPR VENTILATOR

ETVent

ETVent
portable cpr ventilator
ETVent™ is an innovative, portable endo-tracheal ventilator, designed to support CPR by improving blood circulation through a unique pressure-relief cuff mechanism.
The project required translating a breakthrough clinical idea into a compact, intuitive, and field-ready medical device.
01
Design Challenge
The core challenge was to integrate a complex ventilation and cuff-actuation system into a portable form while ensuring absolute ease of use for clinicians working under extreme pressure. The device had to be ergonomic, reliable, and fully compatible with multiple airway management methods.
02
Design Approach
The design process began with focused research, including interviews with emergency physicians, paramedics, and respiratory therapists to understand real CPR workflows. Guided by these insights, we led a human-centered design effort that combined rapid concept exploration, ergonomic modeling, and iterative prototyping, ultimately shaping a standout, intuitive, and highly functional product.
03
DESIGN PROCESS
We explored a range of design languages that define contemporary emergency medical devices. Through a focused characterization process, we developed a distinct visual and functional design language that sets the product apart from its competitors and positions it at the forefront of the field.
04
ENGINEERING
The engineering design process included detailed design of the mechanical and electronic components, including a high sealing standard and compliance with medical
05
THE FINAL PRODUCT
The final ETVent™ portable device delivers advanced CPR functionality within a sleek, robust, and easy-to-operate package. The design blends thoughtful ergonomics with engineering precision showcasing our ability to turn complex medical technologies into user-friendly, production-ready products
